Maturing as a man means feeling sympathy for the women you break up with because her life will inherently get worse as yours gets better after a break up. This realization strengthens the ego but numbs the heart. If you’re a good man you know you’re rare, you know she thinks she’s going to be good without you but eventually reality will hit her and when it does it can get ugly .

When she realizes you were the greatest thing to happen to her while also being her best chance at love and security. This epiphany will sink many of your past lovers into a depression that can last forever. Her shame and guilt will eat at her but she will forever hold it inside, never admitting to the world or you her mistakes .

To a man with a good head on his shoulders he feels empathy for his exes. He knows they will spend the rest of their lives searching for him in another. Failing over and over. Which is extremely depressing because most women lose out on a good man because their emotions lead them towards self sabotage. Not realizing what they have done until it’s to late. Women don’t understand that some mistakes have consequences that cannot be undone. It’s sad when a girl forces you to be the one to teach her this lesson. When she forces you to leave her.

This will be the hardest thing you must do as a man, to realize you cannot save her and than to watch the woman you once loved corrupt herself because she cannot handle life without you. Without you she falls from grace and you have to stop yourself from intervening. You must go against the masculine urge to protect and provide because you realize you deserve better and that going back to her will only end with the same repeating result.
